• Info: Born near Paris in 1949, she studied art history and Japanese. She has written literary texts since 1976. Her first theatre text was published ten years later, in 1986. Meanwhile, she has released more than 20 plays, many of which have been performed in Germany or broadcast as radio plays. To earn her livelihood, she wrote nearly 100 “light novels” between 1988 and 1998; simultaneously, she contributed articles to theatre periodicals, in which she articulated her search for a “different kind of theatre.”                                                                                  Both of these things influenced the way she writes: She begins with popular topics and history and transforms them into her own new forms. Recently, these forms have been expanded to include cooperations with choreographers. She has been working on her biggest project thus far, “Ma Solange, comment t’écrire mon désastre, Alex Roux,” since 1994 with the actor Christophe Brault. She constantly reworks and extends its closing monologue for successive performances.                                                                                  In 2002, her work “Madame K” was presented at the BONN BIENNALE 2002; it depicted a kaleidoscope of scenes from the life of a woman, in which time, reality and dreams blended into one another associatively. In 2010, she is set to release two editions of new plays as well as a book dedicated to her writing.                                                                                  photo: Kraemer
